Biography

Welcome to my personal webpage! I am a Senior Bioinformatics Engineer at AncestryDNA.

I am trained in genomic data science and scientific computing. I completed a postdoctoral stint at the UCSF School of Medicine and a Data Science Fellowship at the Berkeley Institute for Data Science. I completed my dissertation at UCLA under Kenneth Lange.

My mathematical research interests span numerical optimization, scientific computing, and high-dimensional statistics. I am also deeply interested in genomic data science, bioinformatics, statistical genetics, genetic epidemiology, and methods for admixed populations.
